Ship Notes · SN #20·10 May

From launch to scale

Shipping isn't the finish line — it's the day the real feedback starts. Two notes on what to watch once you're live.

1. Launch is the starting line

Going live isn't the end of the project — it's the first day you have real users telling you what's actually true. Plan for the week after launch, not just the launch itself. That's when the most valuable lessons arrive.

2. Watch the leading metrics

Revenue is a lagging signal — by the time it moves, the cause is weeks old. Track the things that move first: activation, retention, time-to-value. They let you steer while there's still time to change course.
